I agree with u here Kala, he is such an awesome person & ambassador.

It would be awesome to do a relief concert hey. Maybe he should do a
relief concert here in sydney and all the proceeds go to Haiti. Maybe we should bring this to his attention. Then we get to see Stan

That's what I think too Kiwi-lover, couldn't have said it better myself. He'll be an awesome ambassador. As everyone else has said - he just wants to help the hurting and broken-hearted and show them that there is hope and this is the perfect way to do something that's close to his heart - using the gifts he has to serve others.

Stan Walker’s journey to Haiti Empty Australian Idol Stan Walker talks of heartbreak for lost Haitian children in earthquake

Post by Simona Fri Apr 09, 2010 1:13 pm

AUSTRALIAN Idol winner Stan Walker is bound for Haiti. Stan Walker’s journey to Haiti 75666710

The singer will fly to the earthquake ravaged country tomorrow and wants to get his hands dirty.
"I want to help out, I want to do what I can as they rebuild their country," Walker told music reporter Cameron Adams yesterday.
Walker is being flown in by Christian charity group Compassion, which will film the two-week trip for TV.
He already sponsors two Haitian children. A boy he originally sponsored died with his mother in the earthquake.
"That was the realisation this is real," Walker said.
"People see little clips on the TV of people dying and trying to survive, you get a slight bit of compassion, then there's an ad break or a new show comes on.
"I want to go over there because I want my heart to break, I want to feel this, I want to feel it so I can understand."
Walker will also perform in Haiti. "I am nervous, I'm such a sook, eh, I reckon I'll cry every day," he said.
Walker managed to squeeze in filming a clip for his new single, Unbroken, in Melbourne's Degraves St yesterday

damn! I was sooo close to Flinders hahahaha

So he is leaving tomorrow for Haiti.
    Stan is such an inspiration.
I can't wait to see the film TV about this journey.
It will be one that breaks our hearts but with a message of love and hope, that tragedy can be overcome if we all put in.

If only I had time and money to help as much as it's needed I would.....

Awwwwww what a guy he is. He is the epitome of compassion and I don't think they could have a better ambassador for Haiti!

I read the negative comments on the herald site and obviously people don't know what they're talking about LOL

Stan is bringing much needed attention to the poor people of Haiti and his personal loss will be seen on the TV show. Good on you Stan for bringing this attention to everyone. Simona knows I am a huge fan of Linkin Park and they do a lot of humanitarian work and one of their songs were written for this cause.

If you want to see what Stan is going to see check this out for yourself!

I can only imagine how sad it'll be for Stan and the clan in Haiti. They are going to be on an emotional roller-coaster for sure.

It'll be good for them though and GREAt for the Haiti people to see that outsiders really care.
