Have followed up for more details so will post developments as and when I rec'v them - I dont imagine it will be an open affair but have asked in any case so watch this space..

Actually my hubby goes to the Bee Hive for work on occasion.. I told him this morning that Stan had a gig there on Thursday night and could he get us in?? His reply?.."I could probably get us in to the basement!!" Huh.. don't think Stan will be there.. (lolz)

Hey did anyone hear about an interview with Stan at a radio station in Waiwhetu, Wellington? Its just that my mate who recently joined SSFF (coz I asked her to...hehe) just told me the interview is across the road from her house ...probably tomorrow...Just thought Id ask if anyone had heard anything. I asked her to check it out. If youve seen my missy channel(miSSaweSumneSSxo) on youtube....she is the one who made the lovely maori pattern background...its a kete(bag)..she made me for xmas...shes a master weaver..
I hope he does do that interview coz she cant make the Porirua signing! and hope she gets a vid or pics!!

Stan Walker @ The Warehouse - Porirua 3-5pm

I saw Stan today... OMG OMG OMG!! He looks fantastic - his dark hair, a little longish and thicker but cropped perfectly to the shape of his face.. he looks vibrant, very handsome with the most 'drop dead gorgeous smile'! And when he looks directly at you and smiles..whoooa,ya just melt *sigh* OMG.. lolz.
Did I mention he is LEAN? Wow he looks SOO good. Today he was wearing black pipe jeans with a white-T, it had a black and white print of a girls face and a long silver chain..mmmm very nice - simple chic (chique). Yup, he most definately looks comfortable in his skin, and confident...Me thinks Stan has done the signing thang a few times now!!! LOLz

Anyway, my babies and I arrived ohhh 2 hrs before Stan was due. The queue wasn't too bad..we were about 20th. My girls had their Stan Posters and autograph books, and they had prepared themselves to sit and wait. It was a brilliant hot day..and luckily we were in the shade. It got a bit cramped around the bars/boundaries and difficult to manoeuvre the Stroller, so I stepped out of the queue and stood at the shop entrance. I spoke to a really nice Warehouse assistant (crowd control) and I was allowed to wait outside the queue, jump back in, when my girls got to the front..very descent of them, and I was very grateful!! The bonus was, I got to go inside, check out the "Stan" area (which looked great), and buy ice-blocks for my girls - who were melting in the queue!
My baby and I took our place at the door entrance again..and waited. Soon people in black started moving about..I knew Stan was soon to arrive.. and he did, in a Gold Previa (Tarago for u Aussies). I had a first class view as he exited the car...caught my breath, ohhhh 'hes so fine'. The young girls were screaming..Stan looked at the ground first, then he waved, smiled and walked toward the entrance..haha toward ME!!!Whoop whoop Stan...I heard myself say.. "We all say Hi from SS"..and then he absolutely looked right at me and said "KIA ORA"!! Then I saw THAT SMILE.. Plzzzz OMG..

And not a squeak from my 3yr old son the whole time!!..He was enjoying the atmosphere..happily sat in his stroller.

Oh..and btw, it was just Stan with his Manager?, and a couple of people in black (security?)..no famz today, not even Mikey!

Once Stan was seated, the queue moved quite quickly. I was chatting to a few people. One lady mentioned she had heard Stan on the Radio earlier today.. he was in the Hutt..Waiwhetu I think..(Hope ur friend caught up with Stan at the Radio Station Kiwiana :).
My girls were at the front of the queue in no time, so I jumped under the rope with my stoller. Could see people being moved on quickly..I already had my camera out, couldn't snap any photos of Stan cos of the zig zag arrangement, heads everywhere. For a closeup photo with Stan, the Manager would take ur camera for a picture... And it was one person at a time. So as my girls headed forward, they were handing me their phones, for photos with Stan. I wanted to use my camcorder, but I didnt have enough hands!! My girls were like, hold this mum, make sure u get me with Stan..pass ur camera ova to the man!! Lols..I was all a shambles..plus I had taken my baby out of his stroller so he could walk up to Stan..geez!

Anyway..one twin went toward Stan, short chat, photo ..move on..next twin..quick Hello..photo..move on..then ME! My turn, with my boi..yeh yeh Stan.. hahah nah jokes..my turn with my baby boy..I said "Hi Stan"..the manager asked.. would u like a picture with ur baby?..Oh YES pls.. He took my camera.. Stan looked at my boy and said.."oh he has such long lashes"..I replied "yes he does" as I picked him up and leaned in toward Stan..I said to my boy, "say Hi to Stan"...and he said "Hi Stan". I laughed!!.. it was the first time my boy had called Stan by his first name alone..normally everything is StanWalker - one word! Even as we were approaching Stan, my boy's like, "hey StanWalker"..he looks to his sisters, "StanWalker girls..." verrry cute! hehe

It was almost time to leave..I wanted to say more to Stan, but I didnt. I think I was starstruck..cos I couldnt get out any questions..I just smiled at him (dah)...and then the Manager gave me my camera back and I was moved along..BYE STAN, Gr8 meeting you...xx

And then it was over...

As we headed out of the Store, the queue was enormous. We later learned that many fans were sent home. Stan HAD to leave by 5pm, queue or no queue.. Oh dear..how sad! (Hope IAmSuperman got to see Stan).

I feel very lucky..I am so happy I got to meet Stan Walker today. Im so glad I got to (briefly) speak to him, and see his beautiful genuine smile. And next time, I hope to hear him sing!!
