    Song lyrics will tell stories

STORYLINES is a concert with Australian Idol winners, Wes Carr and Stan Walker, at Sutherland Entertainment Centre.
Also appearing will be contemporary singer songwriters Steve Balbi, from Noiseworks, and Simon Meli of The Widowbirds and performers Jeff Duff, Nicky Kurta and Sam Knock.

The title — Storylines — refers to the songs being performed: songs with lyrics that actually tell stories. Mostly dating back to the 1960s and early 1970s, the audience can look forward to some of the greatest storytelling songs of all time from troubadours whose lyrics have endured across the years and who include artists such as Bob Dylan, Joni Mitchell, Cat Stevens, Bruce Springsteen, Simon & Garfunkel and Harry Chapin.

A Storylines compilation CD from Sony will be available.

Details: suthentcent.com.au or 9521 8888; Sutherland Entertainment Centre, 30 Eton Street, Sutherland; 8pm, Friday, August 5; dinner and show: $74/ (groups $70); show only: $47/$43 (groups $39).
