Stan gets Loud with new single

COOLANGATTA-raised Australian Idol winner Stan Walker is continuing his assault on the charts with the release of his new single Loud.

The pop sensation’s new single was released on iTunes on Friday and was quickly named as one of the most-added songs on Australian radio stations this week.

The accompanying music video for Loud featuring Mr Walker was shot in Los Angeles.

When it comes to discussing his rise to fame and the support he has received from Gold Coast fans Mr Walker said he believes this is where he was supposed to be.

“I don’t believe in luck,” he said.

“Everything happens for a reason, and has its purpose. I thank God for giving me this opportunity to be here.

“Now it’s my time to take the stage and inspire others to make the most of their lives, and if they laugh, or sing-along to my songs on the way, well, that’s even better.”

Mr Walker released his previous album From The Inside Out in 2010 and has since kept busy performing across Australia and working over seas.

In April he joined fellow Australian Idol contestant Jess Mauboy on stage at a Chris Brown concert to perform Ms Mauboy’s current single What Happened To Us.
