Oz Acts Corner The Top Ten
    by Andrew Tijs - August 30 2010

Eminem remains at the top but Australian acts muscle in on the top ten album sales this week.

Both the debuts that hit the top ten weighted album charts this week were (ostensibly) Australian.

Australian Idol winner Stan Walker’s second album From The Inside Out debuted at number two, and while he was born in New Zealand, he’s spent most of his life and career in Australia.

Debuting this week at number ten is country singer Adam Brand’s eighth album It’s Gonna Be OK.

In between, another four Australian acts are holding down spots commendably.

Hip-hop juggernaut Bliss N Eso are at number three, emotional rock unit Birds Of Tokyo at six, indie poster Washington at eight, and the folk sensation Angus & Julia Stone still at number nine almost six months after release.

Also, debuting at number 14 is Melbourne electro-disco outfit Miami Horror, the Best Of for country artist Adam Harvey debuted at 44, roots reggae act Blue King Brown debut at 77 and Perth hardcore band Miles Away debut at 88.

Stan Walker Performs For Undercover Usessions
    by Paul Cashmere - August 29 2010

2009 Australian Idol winner has just released his new album `From The Inside Out`.

As a lead-up to the released of the album, Stan dropped into Undercover with his brother to perform two tracks from the album ‘Choose You’ and ‘Unbroken’ as well as ‘Black Box’ from the debut album “Introducing Stan Walker’.

Stan earned himself a double platinum award for ‘Black Box’ and took home a Gold trophy for ‘Unbroken’. The album ‘Introducing Stan Walker’ also earned the Idol winner a platinum award.

‘From The Inside Out’ features producers Ryan Tedder (Beyoncé , Leona Lewis), Stuart Crichton (Kylie Minogue, Sugababes), Audius (Jessica Mauboy, Delta Goodrem), and Israel Cruz (Ricki-Lee, Jade MacRae), as well as UK singer Pixie Lott and New Zealand rapper Young Sid, who both duet respectively with Stan on the album. The album was then given a final sonic-boost in the USA by in-demand Grammy Award-winning mixers Phil Tan (Usher, Rihanna) and Craig Bauer (Kanye West).
