Idol winner Stan Walker steps forward

AUSTRALIAN Idol 2009 winner and Camperdown local Stan Walker just returned from LA after shooting his new video clip Loud.
“When they (management) sent me through some ideas for filming Loud in the States, I was like, ‘yes, let’s do it!”’ Walker said.
Walker spent a week in Hollywood shooting the song from his as-yet untitled album. After being released only a few weeks ago, the song has dominated Australian radio, including a listing on 2DayFM’s Hot 30 Countdown.
“The meaning behind the song is so simple,” Walker said. “It’s a declaration of a celebration, another step forward and just having fun.”
While he didn’t write the song, the Inner West artist said he would be focusing on that aspect of his career this year.
He recently took part in the Chris Brown tour and did a duet with Jessica Mauboy for her single What Happened To Us, and is working on new material for his next album to be released at the end of the year. To watch Loud, go to innerwestcourier.com.au.
