    MT Druitt-St Marys has become Stan Walker’s new stomping ground.

    WHO: Stan Walker
    WHEN: 10pm, Friday, December 10;
    VENUE: Lone Pine Tavern, Rooty Hill;
    INQUIRIES: 9625 8475

    A month after he wowed audiences at the St Marys Spring Festival, the Australian Idol winner returns to perform live at Lone Pine Tavern, Rooty Hill, next Friday, December 10.

    In just under nine months Walker, 20, has become one of Australian music’s top talents.

    His debut single Black Box became his first number one single in New Zealand and his album Introducing… Stan Walker also went platinum in Australia and New Zealand.

    The singer describes his new album From The Inside Out as a collection of personal songs and a “whirlwind of pop, R ‘n’ B, soul, rock and some gospel”.

    “With the lyrics, I wanted people to get a glimpse inside my world and really feel what I’m feeling,” he said.

    “There are songs on the album that are deep and show things that you can’t usually see just by looking at me.”

    His new single Choose You, is already a hit on the radio.

    “It’s a wicked pop song mixed with a little old school R ‘n’ B,” Walker said.
